oh and one tiny castle that is called Ericsbergs Slott
I thought today would be a good day to write about my hometown...well technically this tiny town I grew up in between the ages of 8 to18.5. Before that is a long story and after that is another long story...
So I grew up in a teeny tiny town in Sweden called Katrineholm. It is about 2 hours drive west of Stockholm.
when we first located ourselves there it was one of the most Swedish and idyllic towns you can think of. I remember how everyone was so tall and blonde! In fact first day of school, the kids in my class had never seen anyone with brown hair like mine....again those are stories for another time.
So I consider myself as a swede, I'm from Sweden whenever anyone asks where I am from and that is my "home". But then I am a bit of a gypsy so home today means to things, one where my mother still lives and the other where I actually am located.
Although Katrineholm is tiny, it still has some of the major stores as a bigger town would have such as H&M, Mcdonald's and even a subway {people correct me if it is not open today}
I would strongly recommending to stop by the little town if you are on a roadtrip and need to see the town which one of the prime minsters used to be from, the place that once was named the town with most kebabshops for the size of the actual town. (It's almost like Starbucks's in Seattle.. one inf every possible corner)
Then you also have a handful of cute little coffeshops, where you will see full of people having a "fika" paus or time. FIka is a unique Swedish time where you take coffee and cake time off and sit eat and enjoy the time with friends and families.... Also if you have to meet up someone without going out for a drink, going for a FIKA is always a good option.
My sister mentioned a few, one is called Skona Gertrud, djulo cafe, coffeelounge, and Sultans....my favorite was always SULTANS! ,
(mainly as it was on the way home coming from high school) I am pretty sure t is one of the oldest! For the summer time please do not miss to visit this one, but pleas keep it a secret its a nice hideout and tranquil and a well kept secret without it being a secret kinda place... you know what I am saying? [You will once you go there!] This is a gem in the summer! DJULO HERRGARD

This place was and always will be special to me for several reasons, first it is very near the biggest lake in town. Second i used to run away to the this big rock as a sad teen and cry away all my miseries and third this is where I had my first wedding night with my first husband... it was on Christmas day and it had snowed perfectly it was just magically!! I cannot forget how it was out there during the winter!
If you aren't on the marriage path, you can still enjoy this place by have a great coffee and cake, aka FIKA!!!

Can you just see yourself standing on this tiny little bridge and take all this in? I am very certain you gain a few years in your life by breathing in this much beauty!
